Grocery shopping by bike

Today was a remarkably beautiful day, especially considering we are halfway through December. I took it as an opportunity to get a solid car-free errand in. The grocery stir is just a mile and a half down the road. I broke out the panniers and pedaled over. The ride back was not a probably despite the fact I was carrying over 25 lbs of groceries. My panniers held it like a champ and my bike handled beautifully.
