Ghost Towns of the East Part 2

This is part 2 of a series. Check out part 1.

Last year Jesse and I found the remnants of another town when we walked from Bear Mountain to my parents' house, the entire length of Harriman State Park.






At the top of one of the smaller mountains along the trail was a small cemetery which included several the graves of several soldiers who died during the Civil War.


There was a sign near this tiny graveyard saying it had been restored several decades ago as part of an Eagle Scout project. The area was well hidden, but flags and other items suggested people had visited it recently.
